Our Path
Health Information and Screening Program
The objective at LPS Health organization in the United States is to establish a network of healthcare providers who are proficient in Gujarati and are willing to assist community members in obtaining accurate healthcare information. With over 6,000 families (30,000 people) in the LPS community residing in the United States, many still face challenges in accessing proper healthcare. Language barriers often hinder understanding during medical visits, leading to difficulties in decision-making. Additionally, a significant number of community members lack health insurance, exacerbating problems during urgent healthcare situations.
To address these challenges, we aim to leverage the strength of our community, including organizations like AAHOA, LPS Samaj, as well as popular volleyball associations and golf groups nationwide. Our goal is to engage these organizations in disseminating healthcare information and create a network that ensures every member can access the information they need. By forging connections with advanced healthcare institutions both in America and in India; with such institutions as Nirali Hospital in Navsari and Om Sai Hospital in Bardoli, we empower all members in the USA to assist their relatives in gaining access to high-quality and trustworthy care both at home in USA and in India.
Student Mentorship
Another goal for LPS Health in the USA is to establish a healthcare mentorship network, particularly for students aspiring to pursue careers in healthcare. Whether their interest lies in medical school or other healthcare paths, we aim to educate students about various healthcare careers. There are over 10 different healthcare fields where students, regardless of academic capacity, can earn a salary exceeding $100,000 per year. Unfortunately, high school and college counselors may not provide such guidance to our students and young adults.
Moreover, recognizing that many students in our community travel abroad for healthcare experiences in regions like South America or Africa, we see an opportunity to offer a similar experience both domestically and internationally. As part of our mission, we plan to create a healthcare camp within our community in the USA collaborating with local hospitals. This camp will allow future healthcare professionals to firsthand experience rural healthcare in the USA while immersing themselves in their heritage and culture.
Community Service & Outreach
We adopt a dual approach to outreach, focusing on the care of the impoverished population in the United States by coordinating low cost access to basic healthcare needs. This involves creating a reliable stream of services funded by donations, , ensuring all contributions qualify for appropriate tax deductions. These funds will be allocated to healthcare camps and individuals in need, with the quality and trustworthiness of care verified by selected and credentialed "LPS Health Physicians."
Our second outreach initiative aims to establish educational funds for underprivileged students in the United States interested in pursuing healthcare careers. Donated funds will be utilized to cover schooling expenses and will incorporate an interactive Student-to-Donor Program called "The Mera Student Program." This program connects donors directly with students, fostering a personal connection and providing donors with a firsthand understanding of the impact of their contributions. The program ensures complete transparency, allowing donors to always know how their funds are being used. Crucially, it is designed to cultivate human connections between those willing to help and those in need, bridging different worlds in a profoundly meaningful manner for all participants.

The aim of this program is to establish an exceptional group of committed physicians, carefully vetted by Dr. Morar and other trusted medical professionals, to form a network of trustworthy practitioners in the Bardoli/Navsari area of India and in the United States. Selection into the network is based on medical expertise, experience, and a reputation for providing honest and reliable care. Crucially, these physicians exhibit a profound dedication to humanity, prioritizing ethical patient treatment and favorable outcomes. The quality and trustworthiness of care will be verified by selected and credentialed "LPS Health Physicians."
